The MIDI-files are recorded on PSR-8000 and tuned with Cakewalk Professional 8.0 on the PC afterwards. All songs are XG, SMF0 and use XG- and panel voices of the PSR-8000, the last are available at the PSR-9000 too. Automatic accompaniment of the PSR-8000 is used. The sound on other XG-synths and PSR keyboards slightly differs from the original. Usual GM PC-soundcard will produce bad sound with the percussion at MIDI-channel 9.

The melody-files are small Cakewalk song-files of format "normal" (file-extension .wrk), compressed to .zip. There is one track only with chords added. The files are edited by myself only to get the simplyfied melody with its chords in order to practise the play with the keyboard. The files must be loaded in Cakewalk. Select the track and open the stuff-window. If you have problems to understand the chord-denotation, look here.

The present copyright situation with midi files is uncertain. Rumour has it that the music industry would like midi files to be classified as a representation of sheet music, which is copyrighted. My belief is that midi files are simply computer data, a sequence, and hopefully just a personal representation of the real thing and not an exact copy of the music. Midi files could never compete with a real take and hopefully would encourage the purchase of it.

As it stands, I believe that all MIDI files held here are free to be listened to, but I personally cannot give permission for copies to be made, disseminated or publicly performed.
