Cakewalk Instrument Definitions
Instrument Definitions for YAMAHA PSR-8000, PSR-9000, Tyros, Tyros 2, Tyros 3, PRS-S700 and PSR-S900
The file "yamaha_kbds.ins" will be used with the sequencer software Cakewalk or Sonar to edit MIDI-files which are recorded at or created to play at the keyboard PSR-8000, PSR-9000, PRS-S600 and PRS-S900. "yamaha_kbds.ins" delivers all banks, the names of all voices, the names of all drums of the percussion kits, the RPN, NRPN and controller-names which are available. The names used are the same names of the keyboard-manuals.
Volker Zimmer has added different shortcuts with the Voices for some keyboards. This is a useful feature to select voices by searching in voice-categories. Open the file with a text-editor and look at the header-lines for the shortcuts used. Look at the link in "Good Links".
The files are free to use and distribute.
